Technical vocational education is shedding its second-class image as more businesses, educators and even policy makers see improved training as answer to many of the nation’s economic and social woes.
The role of technical vocational education does not stop when students finish the training program. I invite all the tech-voc graduates, skilled workers and returning OFWs to take competency assessment, be certified, and qualified for higher level and better paying jobs here and abroad. Getting the seal of excellence from TESDA has never been more releveant than now because companies look for this as a requirement for employment.
We proudly call our certified skilled workers as “TESDA Specialistas” in recognition of their trade skills exellence. The number of graduates, workers, overseas Filipino workers and their dependents taking the assessment and certification are encouraging. TESDA vows to continue being in the forefront of technical vocational education as the students alternative route to success.
